Sylvia Sidney

I am a big fan of Sylvia Sidney's needlepoint books, so when I found this profile of her life, I wanted to share it.

Here is her first book.  It's the best in my opinion--full of personal charm, not stitch diagrams.

Hers was one of my first needlepoint books. I didn't even know she had a movie career! Thanks, Jane, for the links.

She had quite a career apparently. Most was a bit before our time but I think she's been pretty influential in the world of needlepoint.

I have always loved old movies and she was one of my favorite actresses. Her needlepoint book (borrowed from the public library) really got me started on my needlepoint obsession. I borrowed it so often, my husband suggested I just buy a copy. Long out of print by the '80s, I paid $50 to a book finding service to track one down for me. I have both of her books and still enjoy them. Thank you for sharing this!
