Need Paternayan?

A knitting friend who occasionally dabbles in needlepoint was out cruising the needlework shops in search of a knitting book this week when she came across a nice little selection of the "old" Paternayan at one of her hangouts.  She says the back room, which she describes as full of threads and needlework supplies, has a treasure trove of Pateryanay in lots of colors and shades--but no black or white. She thinks it is the style with three equal plies but she isn't certain.

She immediately realized this might be a great find for a needlepointer halfway through a project, since the "new" Paternayan has limited colors available so far while they gear up production.  If you are desperate for certain colors, you need to get in touch with Charlene Hatfield at Stitch in Time in Howell, Michigan.  (Note:  This isn't the only shop by this name in the area, so be sure you use the contract information on their website or email the shop at charlenehatfield@sbcglobal.net.)

My friend notes, "It is probably of limited interest to the other readers of Blog that Charlene owns a beautiful 13 yo male long haired dachshund, and the store carries about 700 knitting books. "

Please don't trample the dachshund as you rush toward the hoard of Paternayan in the back room.  I bet a few folks will stop and look at the knitting books, too.

Thanks, Marj!  We needlepointers appreciate it.
