Scissor Pull? Is That Related to a Tractor Pull?

It took me a minute to wrap my head around the term "scissor pull" since it is almost time for our county fair.  Ours boasts both a tractor pull and a horse pull as major events. (One year they had a lawn mower pull. Sorry I missed that.)   Turns out when Mary Corbet says scissor pull, she means one of those retractable scissor clips that you pin to a shirt and keep your scissors on so you have them at hand (instead of on the floor or buried in the couch cushions) when you need them.

Guess I should get mine out of the stitching toolbox and use it, huh?  Gotta get in shape when we needlepointers show up at the fair, ready to face off scissor to scissor!

I think I just invented a new event.  Think it'll be as popular as deep fried Twinkies?
