All About Madeira Silk Floss

One of the many brands of silk floss available is the filament silk floss from Madeira. Mary Corbet talks about the thread here. The nicest thing about it in my opinion is the packaging. It's VERY convenient, particularly if you are sued to silk floss tangling as you try to remove a length from a skein. The silk itself has a slightly stiff feel to it but it does have a nice shine and isn't as unmanageable as some brands of silk are.  It's not as easy to use as Splendor silk floss, however, and the range of colors aren't as wide as Rainbow Gallery offers with Splendor.

You can see the colors on the German Madeira site.  The U.S. site is machine embroidery threads only.
