The mathematician in me just loves this. It actually took me many years to realize that most stitchers don't realize that the many fancy stitches all have a mathematical basis to them. I used to use my needlework to show people applications of calculus and physics while at school.
It was this blend of math and art that has always drawn me to needlework. I couldn't draw a picture to save my life, but by following some math (that I love) and using fibres and needle and fabric, I can create stunning things.
