New Shop in New Orleans - Yeah! UPDATED

All you stitching tourists and locals, take note--there's a new shop in New Orleans! Thanks for the tip, Katherine.

UPDATE:  Thanks to Chris, I know the above link isn't working right now.  If you go to www.needleworkvault.com, you get a message that this is the future home of Needlework Vault.  Sorry, I do Blog postings as much as 2-3 weeks ahead of time, so I didn't realize this was a work-in-progress.   Instead, why not visit Boots and Beads, which is where I learned about the new shop?  It's almost as good as seeing the bare bones website right now.

Stephanie told us about Boots and Beads and Chris about the problem with the shop link I read about there.  Where would I be without my spies and helpers?!  Blog thanks you all!!!!

Easy-Count Guideline

A friend who is working a large complex portrait in cross stitch mentioned she is trying the Easy-Count Guideline to make keeping track of areas easier.  Since this seems of interest to all my friends who do counted thread projects from charts, I looked into what this is (link one) and how it works (link two's video).

I haven't used this myself but the next time I lose my mind and decide to work a counted project with a lot of detail, I will.  Thanks for the tip, Wendy!
