Speaking of Orna's classes, I know some of the folks getting ready to take her Peacocks class at Bedecked and Beadazzled in Baltimore.  They keep talking about "orange peacocks"!

The Embroidered Cat

Trish Burr just posted a photo on her blog of a large piece she did over the last year for her own pleasure. It's a masterpiece of needle painting.  She did it as a personal challenge to stretch her skills.  For me it's a reminder of how we all, no matter how talented, need to polish what we stitch by doing things a bit out of our comfort zone.

By the way, BeStitched is having a Patt and Lee trunk show (twenty percent off).  If you are a cat person, you can pick up some great cat canvases at a discount.

Gathering for Winter

Why am I talking about gathering for winter when it is 65 outside and spring? Because "Gathering for Winter" is a new class from Betsy Morgan. Betsy lives over the mountain from me. She designs the most exquisite smalls and etuis!  I keep up with her blog because I love seeing her designs.  I hope you enjoy this, too.
