Trendy Needlepoint

Like everything else, needlepoint follows the trends in colors and styles that we see in fashion. Remember the harvest golds and avocados and browns of the 1960s? How about the blues and purples that were the most popular colors in the 1990s?   I bet if you lined up your finished pieces you could date many of them by colors alone.  Barbara Bergsten follows fashion just like the rest of us and has noticed the color blocks that are becoming popular.  She has new designs that are ready to come out at the June trade show in Columbus that take full advantage of color blocking.

Here's a bit from Glamour about color blocks in women's clothing.  Needlepoint can be as fashionable as anything else, after all!

Well, I needed something a bit quick to balance out the loooooong article on truck shows and folks needed a little breather, too, something quick to enjoy. Your color black article fit the bill.

Normally I try not to talk about any one thing/designer/tool/canvas/chart too much but occasionally I can't help myself!
