Jolly Nutcrackers Mystery Classes UPDATED

dede's Jolly Nutcrackers
The Needle Bug's latest newsletter announced their first mystery class, a three lesson session with Julia Snyder. The canvas for the class is dede Odgen's Jolly Nutcrackers which you see above. Each lesson costs $265 which includes the cost of the canvas, the stitch guide and all the threads.  The first class is in May and mail order participation is possible in case you can't make it to Montgomery, Alabama this summer.  There are no details up on their website yet but if you are as charmed by this canvas as I am, you'll want to make inquiries of the Needle Bug staff.

UPDATE:  Needle Bug published more info about this class on their blog this morning.  (File that under Great Minds Think Alike.  LOL)

I love it, too. I just learned Robin King is doing a stitch guide for a class on this piece that Three Kittens Needle Arts is doing. So both Alabama and Minnesota is doing this piece, which means maybe more stitchers can sit in on the class.

Thanks for mentioning me in your follow up, Jane. This canvas by dede has so much personality. Everyone will have fun stitching it.

This is an amazing canvas piece. I hope someone will post their progress as they stitch it. Will have to put painted canvas on to the wishlist but maybe something a little smaller for my first piece. Plus the price is a bit scary when you add international postage costs. If I win the lottery/sweepstakes I will be signing up.

Carol, it's not a small piece and perhaps too big and expensive to start with but there are plenty of small nutcracker ornaments available for someone to play with. dede herself has three on her website and there may be more.

Robin, I'm glad to mention your version of this piece. After all, some folks will want to get just the stitch guide from you because they already have the canvas if that's possible after the class is over.
