Pepita Poses the Question

If it were me, I'd make it into a pillow while immediately starting her on Project #2.  How would you handle something like this?

Many thanks to Pepita for the thought-provoking link.

Finish it. It willl encourage the girl to keep going. I have several projects my daughter wrked on which I framed and she was very happy when I did. It is like recognizing their efforts. We all started one day and made mistakes too, it didn't stop us and we improved with every new project.

I agree. I think Mom doesn't understand the fun of NP is in the doing and figuring out how to Do Better Next Time. Money may be tight but there are all sorts of creative cheap ways to finish a project. She isn't good with her hands so this is all a mystery to her, poor thing!

I agree - pillow first and then lessons for the second project. She (the daughter) will always cherish her first project.
