Bristly Thistle Starts November Off Right UPDATED

Bristly Thistle starts November off right with a Cooper Oaks trunk show. Items are twenty percent off during the month of November. You can see 200 canvases on their website, including the Vermont Turkey, the Penny Hen, the County Cousins (cow and pig) and more.  I think I'll start with the Hawaii and Whales section....

UPDATE:  I just got word that Ridgewood Needlepoint has the Whimsey and Grace trunk show in-house.  I don't know if there's a discount but you can do a little windowshopping at the Shimsey and Grace website, then contact Ridgewood to find out if the canvas that caught your eye is there and at what price.

Color and Lynn Payette

Guess who has been over at Ruth Schmuff's shop, teaching some lucky stitchers how to create depth and dimension with color? It's Lynn Payette, teaching her Birches piece. The trees are lovely, aren't they? And they are created with fabric, color and some simple stitches. Amazing!

Wish I'd been in this class and that it happened before I started Cat Topiary Garden.  I think I could have picked up some interesting techniques that would make the cat's garden come to life.
