Miko's Hair

This morning's header photo change shows Miko's hair almost finished.  There are lines to be added at her brow and the nape of her neck, plus showing the photo on its side enabled me to notice that I need to smooth out some of the stitching along the wisps of hair blowing in the wind.  They look a tad jagged.  Once that is done I'll pick up the dede Odgen cat topiary garden again.  I only have a month to finish that!

Jane screams, then runs away to stitch faster....

Christmas Thinking from Baltimore

Need some quick Christmas ornaments? That September finishing deadline is getting awfully close, but Bristly Thistle is on top of things with new Kirk and Hamilton ornaments small enough and quirky enough to appeal to the sophisticated Christmas child in all of us.

Falling in Love....Again

You know how I love Asian-themed canvases?  Ones that are relatively restrained without all the frilly touches or too much pattern in a small space?  Well, I've fallen for a new canvas from Tapestry Fair.  Here it is.

Yep.  I'm surprised, too!  LOL  I've caught Halloween Madness!  Oh, no!!

Tapestry Fair has licensed several other Manual Salas Day of the Dead designs.  Here is Lupe.  Peggi is stitching her with Tony Minieri's help.

Lupe has a sister called Rosa, who is more what I'd expect to enjoy as Rosa is restrained.  For a skeleton.

I am finding myself really looking forward to the new Halloween version Peggi plans!  I must be having a mid-life crisis or something.  But what the heck.  Pocito and the still to come Un Pocito de Halloween will be a great stitch.

Stars Update

Liz and Jan have posted simultaneously again about their next block on Tony Minieri's Stars for the New Millennium.  It's wonderful to see how their colors develop!

I expect I'll be back working on my version next winter.  Sorry, but I have too many deadlines looming for personal stitching.
