Speak Up: What sort of stitching do you do mostly?

REPOSTED FROM YESTERDAY since Blogger won't show the title of my poll.  BAD BLOGGER!

I've been thinking about just who visits Blog and realized although I know the number of folks who visit each day and how many of you read Blog via a Reader of some sort, I don't know how many are die-hard painted canvas folk, who mostly stitches counted pieces, and how many folks don't needlepoint at all but just visit occasionally to keep up with what the wild needlepointers say and do.  So, let's do a poll.  I'll leave it up for a week or so to give everyone time to choose what sort of stitching they mostly do.  Thanks for responding, by the way!

Packing for Baltimore

Regular stitchers like you and me don't realize all the work that goes on behind the scenes to  bring up such wonderful tools, threads, canvases and book.  Luckily we are getting glimpses of what it takes from bloggers like Vicky DeAngelis who works with Needle Deeva.  In this blog entry, Vicky describes preparations for the Baltimore show next week.  It sounds like a lot of work, doesn't it?  Thank goodness for the suppliers and the shops who put in all this time for our benefit!

It is August and You Know What That Means

August means two things here in Chilly Hollow--ANG's annual Seminar is coming to San Antonio August 26-September 2, and the next trade show will be in Baltimore!  If you aren't familiar with the American Needlepoint Guild's annual seminar, you can read all about it here.  Don't miss the class links.  That's where you see what will be taught.

There will be all sorts of fun things on display at the shops in the San Antonia area for Seminar visitors to see and buy.  Check out this glimpse of the stocking Sundance created and stitched to display and sell (complete with stitch guide) to mark the occasion!

Here's where you can find the Yarn Barn if you are one of the lucky few going to ANG Seminar.

TNNA is going to have their cash and carry show in Baltimore August 13-14.

I'm hoping everyone there will blog about both these experiences so us stay-at-homes can enjoy some fun vicariously!

P.S.  While we're talking classes, NAN just posted photos of some of their classes for their 2012 get-together on their Facebook page.
