Christmas in October?

Today it is Christmas in October!  Waste Knot (Arlington, VA, which is a D.C. suburb) is having a special Christmas class in October taught by the Stitches for Effect ladies, Suzanne Howren and Beth Robertson.  They are going to teach an all day class October 9 (10-5 p.m.) about twelve stitches for Christmas needlepoint designs.  You'll stitch swatches of various stitches and see all the possibilities to enhance that Christmas stocking/ornament/picture you have hidden away in a closet.

To read more, click on Classes and Events, then use the blue directional arrows at the top of the calendar to change the month to October.  Then click on 10/9 and read all about it.

By the way, currently there's a Rebecca Wood trunk show going on at the shop with 15% off a huge selection of her wonderful designs!  The trunk show is over next Saturday so act fast if you are interested.  That happens to be the same day as the Xmas in July 25% off sale at Needlewoman East, which is about a 12-15 minute drive from Waste Knot, so you can make a day of it.
